I, as much as I believe we do well in "Hey Brother," I think we should do "I Lived" because, well, I have 5 reasons;

The song that I think that is better for chorus is "I lived". The reson is because even thou "Hey Brother" has the same part when the song goes to the who's. The song that is better in my opinion. Also because that song, in my opinion is better to sing.

I think "I lived" is a better song choice for our chorus. First of all, most of us already know this song because it's popular and we've heard it before. Also, the alto part in this song is mostly melody, which is different then past chorus songs. Plus, "Hey Brother" is repatitive and has a boring depressing tone to it. This could make the singers sound drag because they're not into what they're singing. Even though "Hey Brother" may be an easier song to sing, our chorus should be challenged with a song such as "I lived".

I think "I lived" is a better song for our chorus because first of all I believe we sound better. Also a lot of people know this song so we get into it and it is fun for everyone. Another reason why we should sing "I lived is, it really shows the full potential of our chorus. We sing out more, use diction, show expression, and we work together to make a unique sond. Those are the reasons why we should sing "I lived" as a chorus.

I think that "I Lived" is a better song choice for our chorus. It is more interesting than "Hey Brother", and our notes and rhythms are more accurate. I also enjoy how there are the two parts that go back and forth. It changes it up so that it's not boring. Lastly, we get more into "I Lived". We sing out more and use better diction.

I think "I Lived" is a better song chocie for our chorus. First of all "I lived" is a happy song, and "Hey brother" is a sad song. Also most of us already now this song, form the radio. It's also a easier song to sing.

I think that we should sing I Lived, for various reasons. For one, we don't know the song. This doesn't mean that we don't know the lyrics, it's just a bit less immersive and inspiring than I Lived, since we have more of a feel for that song, as well as some idea of what it means. I Lived has a more powerful chorus than Hey Brother and that really effects how hard we try while singing. Also, the baseline for Hey Brother is too high, by the end I was struggling to sing and then eventually couldn't anymore.

I believe we should do Hey Brother. I say this because there are more parts for base, tenor, alto, suprano. In I lived for the most part it is suprano. So over all I belive that there is more team participation along with more team work for blending together.

I think we should do "I lived" because most of us already know the song. Also we sound good harmonizing that we could really try to do even better on and improve. This is why we should do "I Lived."

I believe we should do hey brother, because it blends the different pitches better. Hey brother also sounds more like it belongs with a 7th and 8th grade chorus. It is also not as challenging but still challenging enough, some people know it good and some people need to get to know it. Also it sounds really nice with the guitar.

I live sounds better, we know it better and we sing our own parts. In Hey Brother some people sing the alto part and it messes me up. I feel like it is challenging because of some of the high and low notes especially some of the alto parts. There are a lot of parts in Hey Brother that are messed up all the time. In I live we don't make as many and if we do we can cover it up easier.

I think that I lived would be the better song because it shows more emotion that Hey brother. I lived would also be the better song because more people in the chorus know the song better then Hey brother because not most people have heard Hey brother and they have heard more of I lived. I lived is a better song because it blends well with all of the voices in the seventh and the eighth grade chorus. I also think this because if we sing it at the next chorus then the audience will get into it and have fun with the song when we are singing it. That is why we should sing I Lived instead of Hey Brother.

I think we should do "I Lived". I think this because the music blends better with the guys and girls than with "Hey Bother." It also helps the altos sing higher and get better. This song is very meaningful and would be great to sing. "Hey Brother" is a great song, but "I Lived" is a more common song that is more upbeat and many people like.

I think that we should do "I Lived". We should do this song because we sound better in it. Also, "Hey Brother" is harder to sing and we don't sound as strong. I Loved as a better story behind it and it has more meaning. Also, mostly everyone in the chorus already knows this song.

I believe that "Hey Brother" is a better choice. I know this because "I Lived" really stretches the tenor voice range. If we can't reach the high notes we as tenors quiet down. The same thing happens with the other sections I believe. That might increase our already quiet state to almost inaudiable. I try and enforce tenor part, but even I feel that Me, Quin, Richie, Joe, and the other 8th grade tenors can't reach the high notes, and even if we do, we can only do it to a certain extent. This reason is why "Hey Brother" is a better choice.

I think we should do I lived. The reason why is because the harmony and melody is better in I lived. I lived is more a duet .that is why I think I lived is better.

After comparing "Hey Brother" and "I Lived" I decided "I Lived" was a better choice. "I Lived" is a more well known song and it has multiple sections switching to the melody. This lets everyone get a chance to "shine". Another reason we should do this song is the song is more enjoyable to sing. The song has a good message and we sound better singing it.

I believe that the song "I Lived" would be better. This is for several reasons. One reason being that the altos have the melody for a lot of the song. This will inspire the others that do not sing out as much, hopefully, to sing out. Another reason being that it's a more well known, and the chorus seems to enjoy it more. There are other reasons as well.

I think that I lived is a better song for us because of these reason. One reason is that we know the words more and it is easier to sing when you know the beat and some of the words. Also we pay attention more because we know the song and we are more likely to sing out when we know the song. For these reasons that is why I think I lived is better than hey brother.

I think we should sing "I Lived" because it sounds better than us singing "Hey Brother" Also, when the dynamic level changes it gets us to sing out more, which we need. Another reason is, I think we sing into it when we sing the choruses since it's the part that we sing the most and know very well. But there is just one thing we should work on in the sopranos and that is, some people sing the genre part, for example " I swear I lived" in measure 48-49 page seven. Overall, I think we should " I Lived" because it sound better than "Hey Brother".

The song I would rather sing is I lived. I would choose this because it is more of a happier song and hey brother is sadder. I also feel this why because we sound better singing it. In hey brother it is harder to sing. And lastly we know the song better so we are more likely to sing out. This is why we should do I lived

I think we should sing " I lived". I think we should sing I lived because we blend together well. Also we know this song better and most of the words so it will be easier to learn. If we know the lyrics we will be able to sing out more, and have more fun. Lastly i lived has more emotional and has a good meaning. That is why I think we should sing I lived.

I believe we should sing "I Lived" as our pop song. First off the song has a deeper meaning and as we come to learn that meaning we will be able to use facial expressions that suit the song. Secondly the chorus knows the song pretty well word wise so now you can focus more on tempo, blending, and notes. Lastly there is a change in who sings the melody line compared to our other songs.

I think we should do "Hey Brother" as our pop song because the lines are easy to remember, so even if you have never heard the song you can learn it quickly. Also this song is more up-beat than "I lived" so as a chorus we will have more energy and intrest in singing a fast song, rather than a slow song that could get boring to some people, which will loose their focus, and facial expression. Plus "Hey Brother" as the pop song helps us work on our blending, because when we all sing together/sing the same lines, we can work on singing either quitter or louder and blending depending on the problem. Lastly, we should sing "Hey Brother" as our pop song because I think as a chorus we sound better on this song, rather than "I lived" because "I lived" will take a lot of practice to remember when we don't sing, and for the sopranos to not sing the melody, but to harmonize with the altos, because the sopranos notes have changed. Where as "Hey Brother" is the same, and even though the lines are easy to remember there is still challenging parts in the song like when we all sing the "woah" parts of the song.

Projecting is important so the audience can hear you. Also it is important because mr.Phillips can tell who needs help with the song and who has it down. People might not sing out because they are afraid to mess up in front of everyone. Also they may not no the song well enough to sing out. Make the kids sing out by themselves. Also you could put them next to kids the sing out so they know it's ok to sing out.

I think that we should do "I Lived" because when the audience hears it they would probably know what song it is. We should also do this because hey brother would probably sound dumb even though the lyrics are easier to remember. We should also do I lived because when the dynamics grow and shrink its easier for us to sing. A final reason we should do this is because our voices match the pitch.

I think that Hey Brother is a much better song choice because our chorus sounds very good with that song. This is because the notes are a bit lower than I Lived which makes it easier for the whole chorus. Hey brother is also easier to remember, so that way we can focus more on our projection instead of the words. This song is also much more upbeat and happier than I Lived

I think the song we should do is "hey brother" for our pop song. This is because I think we project more when we sing this instead of "I lived" because some people might know the song better and feel more comfortable singing it. Also hey brother" is an easier song to sing for others who are not great at learning music so when we sing it we will be more prepared with the piece when performing.

I think we should do I lived because everyone already knows the song, but hey brother is an easier song and It repeats a lot so it is easier to remember. Hey brother was not that popular of a song and most people don't know it.

I think that hey brother is better because. One we use a lot of projection in the song. Plus in the song it seems very uprising in a way.lastly in also is a pop song that we don't do much.

I think that we should sing Hey Brother. I think this because we sing it a lot better than I Lived. We sing it better because it is more of a faster beat song. Since it is a fast beat song we sing it with more power than I Lived.

I think we do"Hey Brother," good, so it is my top choice. I think we shouldn't do I lived because the boys part is too high. Even though I know I lived better I don't like the tenor part. I like the oh part in both songs though, but in hey brother it is more fun. I think the boys agree with me that hey brother is a fun song because we all know it. Even though it isn't a pop song it has a pop rthym and the notes flow well. This is why we should do Hey Brother Comments are closed.
